Support at Home
The Australian Government's current in-home care program, which replaced Home Care Packages from November 2025 and is accessed through My Aged Care. If you have a Support at Home budget, we can provide services alongside your provider or coordinator to help it go further. We don't currently provide CHSP-funded services. From 1 October 2026, personal care is fully government-funded with no co-contribution — read more about that change.
Still on a legacy Home Care Package?
If your Home Care Package is still transitioning across to Support at Home, that's completely normal — the switch happens gradually. We can work alongside your existing provider or coordinator in the meantime to help your support go further while the transition takes place.
Not sure what applies to you, or haven't been assessed through My Aged Care yet? Most people aren't sure, and that's completely normal. Tell us your situation in a free first chat and we'll explain your options in plain English.
What if I'm not eligible for Support at Home yet?
Plenty of people get in touch before they've been assessed, or while they're still waiting to hear back from My Aged Care. If that's you, here's the honest, practical version of what happens next.
The first step is a My Aged Care assessment, which looks at your day-to-day needs and works out what level of support fits. You (or a family member on your behalf) can start that process by calling My Aged Care on 1800 200 422 or through myagedcare.gov.au. Assessments and approvals take time, and waiting periods vary depending on individual circumstances and current demand — we won't guess a timeframe that isn't yours to give, but My Aged Care can tell you where things stand for your application.
In the meantime, it's worth having a conversation with us anyway. We can talk through your situation, explain what to expect from the assessment process in plain English, and let you know what we can offer once your Support at Home funding comes through. There's no obligation, and no forms to fill out before you've even spoken to someone.
