What happens next: a member of our local team calls you in the time you picked for a relaxed chat about what would help. Nothing is booked or signed on that call.

What personal care covers

A hand with the everyday things that have got harder

We take the time to learn each person's usual routine — what they like to do themselves and where a hand is genuinely welcome — rather than taking over.

Showering safely

Support with a safe morning shower and personal hygiene, at a pace that suits.

Dressing & grooming

Getting dressed and ready for the day, with dignity and without rushing.

Moving around safely

Support to move safely around the house with a frame or walking stick.

Medication routines

Prompting and assisting with the medication routine that's already in place.

Why families choose us

Run by a local family, not a call centre

Same face, every time

Wherever possible, you're matched with a familiar carer, so there's no re-explaining your routine to a stranger each visit.

Flexible, not fixed

Scale visits up or down as needs change. No lock-in contracts and no penalty for a lighter fortnight.

Meet before you commit

We talk through what you need, then arrange for you to meet your carer in person before any ongoing visits are booked.

Questions

Good to know before you call

Do I have to pay towards personal care?
If you're on Support at Home, no — from 1 October 2026, personal care (showering, dressing, continence support and similar) is fully government-funded, with no co-contribution. Everyday living services like cleaning and gardening still have a means-tested contribution. See our guide to what changed.
I'm looking for care for my mum or dad, not myself — is that okay?
Yes — most of our first enquiries come from an adult child looking into support for a parent. You're welcome to request a call-back on their behalf, and we'll bring your parent into the conversation at a pace that's comfortable for them.
How quickly can we start?
Usually within a week of our first chat — sooner if the need is urgent. We'll always be upfront if a start date isn't realistic.
Is there a minimum number of hours?
No. Visits are scaled to what's genuinely needed, whether that's a couple of hours a fortnight or daily support. No lock-in contracts either way.
